Tae-Eun Kim is a Korean pianist, conductor, and music creator. He started learning the piano at age five and graduated from Sun-Hwa Art middle and high school in Korea with scholarship and studied with Eun-Ah Choi.

Since moving to New York, he has been pursuing Bachelor of music at the Mannes School of Music with scholarship studying with Vladimir Feltsman and Yuri Kim. He has performed in Mannes Sounds Cantabile Festival (2016-2020). He participated in ASIMF Academy Festival in Korea (2010), IsangYun International Festival in Korea (2010), International Academy of Music in Italy (2017, 2018), and International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York (2019). He has participated in masterclasses given by Oxana Yablonskaya, Vladimir Valjarević, Shai Wosner, Daria Rabotkina, Cyprien Katsaris, Dong-Hyek Lim, and Julius-Jeongwon Kim.

He has won First Prize in Haneum Competition, Korea (2010), Second Prize in International Keyboard Competition, Korea (2010), as well as First Prize winner in piano solo, chamber music and the best Chopin Award in International Academy of Music, Italy (2017,2018). He won Grand Prize in Elite International Music Competition and had a winner recital in Carnegie Hall, New York (2020).

His performance videos in YouTube reached over 30,000,000 views and he has over 70,000 subscribers. He performed at BJ Summer Festival in Seoul Sports Complex (2015) and DIA TV Festival in Gocheok Sky Dome (2017). Currently, he is pursuing Master degree of Conducting Major at Seoul National University and he is also a radio host in AM 1660 in New Jersey, New York and a piano instructor in Global Citzenship Forum, Korea.

피아니스트 김태은은 6살 때 처음 피아노를 시작했고, 12살 때 피아노에 전념하기로 결정한 뒤, 본격적으로 피아니스트의 길에 오르기 위해 선화예술중학교에 입학했다. 선화예술중학교를 졸업 후, 장학금을 받고 선화예술고등학교 실기 우수 수석으로 입학한 후, 선화예고 교내 실기 우수상, 선화예고 교과 우수상(연주부문 전체 1등)을 하였다.
미국 뉴욕으로 유학을 떠나 뉴욕 3대 음대 중 하나인 Mannes School of Music을 장학금을 지원받고 입학한 후, 현 차이코프스키 국제 콩쿠르 심사위원인 피아니스트 Vladimir Feltsman을 사사로 졸업했다. 또 Oxana Yablonskaya, Vladimir Valjarević, Shai Wosner, Daria Rabotkina, Cyprien Katsaris, 피아니스트 임동혁 과 피아니스트 김정원 등 세계 각국의 피아니스트들에게 마스터클래스를 받았다.
그는 Mannes Sounds Cantabile Festival, International Academy of Music in Italy , International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York 등의 다양한 축제와 공연에서 연주했고 이탈리아 피렌체에서 열린 International Academy of Music Competition에서 베스트 쇼팽상과 피아노 솔로부문 1위를 하고 피렌체 비토리오 알피에리 극장에서 연주를 했고, 미국 뉴욕에서 Elite International Music Competition 을 우승하고, 뉴욕 맨해튼에 있는 카네기 홀에서 우승자공연을 했다.
현재, 서울대학교 지휘과에 입학하여 지휘자로서의 길을 준비하고 있으며, 많은 연주활동과 레슨으로 제자들을 양육하고 있고, 뉴욕과 뉴저지에서 방송중인 AM1660 라디오채널에서 <김태은의 클래식스센스>를 진행하고 있고, 세계시민포럼에서 피아노 강사를 하고있다.
